Best 3 Wheel Pushchairs

All-terrain stroller is light and durable. It also offers excellent maneuverability. The compact fold using one hand makes it easy to carry. It can also stand on its own when folded. The padded seat reclines into a nearly flat position, and there's a huge storage bin and canopy. Baby-friendly? Yes and with a carrycot.

Good suspension and air-filled tyres can handle rough terrain. You can also use it for jogging. However, you should wait until your baby is at minimum 6 or 9 months old.

3 wheeled pushchairs  from Ickle Bubba is a brilliant option for parents looking for lightweight strollers with added features. It is an all-in-one travel system that includes a lie-flat carrycot designed for infants, a movable forward and rear facing pushchair, and a choice of a group 0+ car seats, so you can get everything you need in one package.

The XL Air is a really impressive vehicle, and it's easy to see why it has been awarded so many praises from customers. It's incredibly light - the wheels and chassis weigh just 6.5kg - and it's also easy to construct. In fact, I was able to put it up and running in less than five minutes, which is pretty impressive considering it included attaching the fabric for the carrycot!

The seat is large and comfortable for Annie who is 12 months old. The recline lever was simple to use. There's a good amount of room in the basket too, and I love the fact that it comes with a zip-up pocket in the handle bar so that you can keep your keys and phone secure!

The handlebar is low, which can be a problem for parents who are taller. However, it's encased in a lovely leather-like material that is soft and comfortable, and it wipes down easily, making it still easy to push even with children and bags on your hands!

Hauck Pushchair Runner

The Runner is designed for active parents who are eager to get outside and explore. Its large pneumatic wheels were designed to be used on field and forest paths, and the front wheel can be swivelled and locked for extra versatility. It also comes with a cushioned 5-point safety harness and a front bar to ensure your child is safe on all trips and the parking brake effectively stops the stroller from moving while you take a break. The seat can be repositioned to a laying position and the canopy can be opened for maximum air circulation during hot days. The handle can be adjusted by more than 30cm to accommodate the needs of dad or mum.

Whether you're going for short jogs or a long hike The Runner is ready to accompany you on your journeys with a fully-flat lie-flat seat and suspension air wheels that guarantee a bump-free ride. The front wheel can be locked to provide more stability when walking on narrow streets or busy sidewalks. The stroller is also able to fold up to fit in car boot spaces or storage areas.

The Runner 2 is a bit more difficult to navigate for some parents than its predecessor. Additionally the locking system (requiring two buttons on either on either side of the handlebar) isn't as user-friendly. The handlebars are higher than those of some competitors, and therefore may not be suitable for shorter parents. However the stroller is durable and adaptable, and is worth considering for families with active children.

Red Kite Push Me pacing

The Pace is another great offering from Red Kite, an affordable British brand that is known for its well-designed and no-fuss essentials for parents. It's the newest and most expensive addition to their bargain lightweight stroller collection. It's also as with the Ickle Bubba Aurora and Yoyo, is car seat adaptable so that you can use it right from birth (the carrycot folds away).

The new Pace comes with some amazing design elements, including a rose-gold shade on the chassis, hood, and stroller trims that really make it stand out. The cream, grey, and tan fabrics on the stroller and the car seat are stylish and there is an option to add a co-ordinating handle for the cover and bumper bar too.

It's suitable for babies up to a max weight of 22kg. The stroller seat converts easily from a carrycot to a 2-in-1 reversible mode, parent or world-facing. The stroller seat features various lie-back positions, softly padded legs rests and an extendable sun canopy that has zip-off sections that are concealed, a viewing see-through flap, and a retractable visor.

When folded, the Pace measures 56 inches x 43cm and 32 inches, which makes it suitable for hand luggage on Easyjet and Ryanair. It's also simple to collapse, with two buttons on the handlebar's opposite side that just need to be pressed in and then pop out.

Bugaboo Fox 5

Designed to be the ultimate all-terrain pushchair Bugaboo's new Fox 5 promises to do it all. Its unique chassis, with a shorter wheel-distance, makes it more maneuverable than its predecessor. I tested it with my two children - one a toddler and another eight-week-old - on rough terrain along woodland paths, grassy trails and even cobblestones.

The wheels that are puncture-proof are large in size - 22cm and a whopping 30cm - therefore they are able to handle lots of different terrains. They also have a handy flap that opens or closes to let more air to enter when you require it and is a nice addition. It's slightly larger than other pushchairs, but does not feel heavy or bulky when you're pushing it across bumpy surfaces.

The seat fabric is machine washable and the faux leather frames and grips are easy to clean. It's also a lot quieter than many pushchairs and I felt comfortable using it on busy city streets. It has integrated accessory points that allow you to attach parasols and footmuffs and also changing bags, snack trays, and even snack tray. The hood can be used to block out the elements of wind and rain, but it's not waterproof. The single pram can be outfitted with the Comfort Wheeled Board (not included) which allows your child more leg room. The bassinet took around 20 minutes to put together, and it took about the same amount of time to convert it into a seat.

UPPAbaby Ridge

No matter if you're enjoying a morning jog under the stars or taking a moonlit stroll in the crisp air, the UPPAbaby Ridge turns every moment into a fun experience for all. This stroller that is all-terrain designed to keep both you and your child active.

The huge 12" and 16" foam-filled tires give you an effortless ride, no matter the terrain. The patented suspension system enables you to glide effortlessly along woodland trails while minimizing impact on your child's legs and rear. The handbrake with a performance disc allows you to quickly stop even while jogging down a downhill slope.

From bustling farmers markets to street musicians playing a tune The Ridge navigates all your city's most popular scenes with ease. The large basket is able to hold all your essentials and market purchases, while the massive canopy offers protection from the sun and wind. The canopy on the front can be unzipped to reveal two mesh peekaboos that permit you to keep an eye on your baby.

The Ridge's reversible seat allows you to decide if your child is facing you or the world that lies ahead and its simple foot brake system is intuitive for parents with young children. A fantastic feature is the reversible handlebar which allows you to adjust it to your height and preferences. And unlike some jogging strollers, the Ridge's fold is stable and stays upright when folded.

iCandy Core

The new iCandy pushchair comes with a variety of features that will be awe-inspiring to parents. It has a Multi-Mode wheelbase and LED Visibility Hub light that is an industry first. It also comes with an integrated Ride-on Board, which saves on future costs and makes it easy for a tired toddler to accompany your family on outings.

The Core is available as an entire travel system or as a single seat. It works with most popular car seats, including those from Cybex Maxi Cosi Joie. It also has the largest seat in the iCandy range, so it will last your baby's first years and beyond. Like all iCandy pushchairs, it's luxuriously designed and features premium knitted jersey fabrics. The child's removable bumper bar and the handlebar that parents can adjust are made of soft leatherette. The calf support that folds away is also very comfortable for children.

I was amazed by the ease of fold and collapse. It only takes one hand, even with the seat unit on. It fits easily in your car or hallway which makes it perfect for travel. The iCandy Core comes with lots of extra accessories, including a rucksack with a color match and a liner/footmuff.
